What ages do you accept?
From 15 months of age- 4Yrs
Can my child start later in the year when they turn 15 months?
Only if there is a vacancy. We fill from the January of the year.
How many rooms are there?
Two rooms: Younger room is Sparkles. Older room is Starlets.
What is considered a temperature, what happens?
38° C. You will be required to pick your child up. They need to be away from care for 24 hours, and without a temperature on their return.
Do we pay for public holidays?
yes
If the centre is closed for a Jewish holiday, are we required to pay?
No
Can we swap days? Can I do make up days?
Unfortunately, the system will not allow this.
What meals do you serve?
Morning tea: fruit , oats, weetbix, toast.
Lunch: meat, fish, chicken, or vegetarian meal, with vegetables.
Afternoon tea: wholesome, crackers, cheese, hummus, baked items.
Must my child be on one sleep before they start at the centre?
Yes as, the children sleep in one room.

We abide by educator to child ratios as determined by the National Quality Framework (NQF). The below table outlines the minimum ratios followed by our centres.

What are your hours?
MONDAY TO THURSDAY: 8am - 4.40pm
FRIDAY | WINTER 8am - 3.30pm
FRIDAY | SUMMER: 8am - 4.00pm
How do I join the waitlist?

When will my place be confirmed?
Places are offered between March and May of the following year, deposit letters follow
Is there a minimum number of days my child must attend?
2 days
What are the fees?
2024 fee per day: $180 stc
Are there additional costs.?
No other costs. (supply your own nappies)
Can I enrol online?
Yes, you can Enrolment form.on the OWNA app
How will I know what my child has eaten, how long they sleep and their bowel habits?
We use the OWNA platform, this allows families to log on and see all of the above.
My child has an allergy, do I need to provide food?
No need, we can cater to all children and their dietary requirements.
Do I still need to pay for a booked day if my child is sick?
Unfortunately yes. Fees still apply for sick days.
The Child Care subsidy will cover up to 42 absence days
If my child is away sick, do you offer make up days?
Unfortunately not
How can parents participate in and contribute to the program?
We actively seek and encourage families to be involved in the service by sharing skills and experiences.
How do educators communicate with parents?
We have many types of communication we use for families, which include phone calls, emails, face-to-face, formal meetings and our OWNA app.
What should I pack for my child?
Labelled Nappies, dummies, bottles, comfort toy or blanket, sun hat, three spare outfits, spare socks, a jumper, water bottle and a plastic bag for wet clothes. Plus anything else your individual child may need, such as milk, a sleeping bag, medication.
How does drop-off work?
When you arrive at the centre, sign your child in and be sure to greet their educators warmly. If your child sees that you have a good relationship with them, they will be more likely to trust them too.
It can be difficult to leave if your child is upset. Rest assured our educators will soothe your child and engage them in entertaining activities to help them settle in.
Settling in childcare takes a few days for some children, while for others it might take longer.
